2018 marks 30 years of the Graduate Students and New Professionals Community of Practice (formerly known as the Standing Committee or the Coalition for Graduate Students and New Professionals). Over the past 30 years, ACPA has dedicated a supportive space for emerging student affairs professionals to connect, learn, and grow. For many, the Graduate Students and New Professionals Community of Practice is the entry-point to decades of service to ACPA and the field of student affairs. Although the Community of Practice works hard to provide a 365 day experience for all of its members, we maintain that the ACPA Convention experience is critical to the development for graduate students and new professionals. The cost of the Convention experience can be a barrier to access for many of our members, which is why we strive to offer Convention Scholarships each and every year.

This year, we celebrate 30 years of support… and counting! We ask you to join this celebration and consider investing in the development of emerging student affairs professionals. Your support will go directly to ACPA Convention Scholarships for graduate students and new professionals. When you contribute to our campaign, you are removing barriers to access related to Convention costs and supporting our field’s future leaders’ professional development. We invite you to support the next generation of scholar-practitioners today.

Restricted donations given to this campaign will also count toward donations to the larger ACPA Foundation's Invest & Transform campaign.

In Support of ACPA Foundation

Founded in 1994 during the presidency of Charles Schroeder, the purpose of the ACPA Educational Leadership Foundation (501c3 non-profit organization) is “to enhance the student affairs profession and to generate and disseminate knowledge of college students at all levels within higher education” (Article Three of the Articles of Incorporation). The organization is now known as the ACPA Foundation to more concisely communicate its role as the fundraising arm of ACPA College Student Educators International.

The Mission - The ACPA Foundation exists to support the priorities and activities of ACPA by raising funds and developing resources that help the Association fulfill its mission.

The Vision - The ACPA Foundation will develop sufficient assets to effectively and sustainably fund ACPA’s efforts to provide excellent professional development opportunities to members, advance knowledge in the field, and support the transformative effect of education in the lives of college students.

In order to fulfill its purpose and mission, the Foundation invites members and non-members alike to provide philanthropic support for ACPA's vital initiatives involving research, scholarship, professional development and leadership program.
