A Message From Joe Onofrietti

Dr. Joe Onofrietti is Vice President of Student Affairs at Emmanuel College in Boston. Joe has been on staff at Emmanuel since 1999. He first taught as an Adjunct Faculty member in the Graduate Management Program. In 2001, Joe was hired as Associate Dean of Students. He was promoted to Dean of Students in 2004 and Vice President in 2019. Previously he served as Associate Dean of Students at Daniel Webster College and as Director of Residence Life at Framingham State University. He also taught in the Masters of Higher Education program at Salem State University. Joe has been a member of ACPA since 1980. He served as Chair of the Core Council for Membership Services and Interests and a member of the Directorate for the Housing and Residence Life Commission. Joe has also served on five Convention Planning teams including Co-Chairing the Convention in Boston in 1995. His best memories as a member of ACPA are serving on these teams to help offer professional opportunities to colleagues. At the local level he served as President of the Massachusetts College Personnel Association. Joe earned a Bachelor of Arts at Rutgers University, a Masters of Education at the University of Vermont and a Ph.D. at Boston College.

In Support of ACPA Foundation

Founded in 1994 during the presidency of Charles Schroeder, the purpose of the ACPA Educational Leadership Foundation (501c3 non-profit organization) is “to enhance the student affairs profession and to generate and disseminate knowledge of college students at all levels within higher education” (Article Three of the Articles of Incorporation). The organization is now known as the ACPA Foundation to more concisely communicate its role as the fundraising arm of ACPA College Student Educators International.

The Mission - The ACPA Foundation exists to support the priorities and activities of ACPA by raising funds and developing resources that help the Association fulfill its mission. 

The Vision - The ACPA Foundation will develop sufficient assets to effectively and sustainably fund ACPA’s efforts to provide excellent professional development opportunities to members, advance knowledge in the field, and support the transformative effect of education in the lives of college students.

In order to fulfill its purpose and mission, the Foundation invites members and non-members alike to provide philanthropic support for ACPA's vital initiatives involving research, scholarship, professional development and leadership program.
