A Message From Lucy LePeau

Dr. LePeau is an Associate Professor of Higher Education and Student Affairs and Program Coordinator at Indiana University Bloomington and Associate Director for the National Institute for Transformation and Equity (NITE). LePeau’s prior work in student affairs roles, such as the Assistant Dean of Students for New Student Programs at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and Project Consultant for the Association of American Colleges and Universities (AAC&U), inform her ongoing research, teaching, and service to the profession. LePeau has produced over 50 publications and conference presentations focused on academic affairs and student affairs partnerships for more equitable campus environments, diversity and equity initiatives in higher education, and improved student affairs teaching and practice. She has published in a range of journals such as the Review of Higher Education, Journal of Higher Education, and Journal of College Student Development. She received the Indiana University Trustees Teaching award, Emerging Scholar and Annuit Coeptis awards from ACPA College Student Educators International, and the Melvene D. Hardee Dissertation of the Year from NASPA Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education. LePeau thanks her champions Dr. Claire Robbins, Dr. Vasti Torres, and students and collaborators for sharing in this honor with her.

In Support of ACPA Foundation

Founded in 1994 during the presidency of Charles Schroeder, the purpose of the ACPA Educational Leadership Foundation (501c3 non-profit organization) is “to enhance the student affairs profession and to generate and disseminate knowledge of college students at all levels within higher education” (Article Three of the Articles of Incorporation). The organization is now known as the ACPA Foundation to more concisely communicate its role as the fundraising arm of ACPA College Student Educators International.

The Mission - The ACPA Foundation exists to support the priorities and activities of ACPA by raising funds and developing resources that help the Association fulfill its mission. 

The Vision - The ACPA Foundation will develop sufficient assets to effectively and sustainably fund ACPA’s efforts to provide excellent professional development opportunities to members, advance knowledge in the field, and support the transformative effect of education in the lives of college students.

In order to fulfill its purpose and mission, the Foundation invites members and non-members alike to provide philanthropic support for ACPA's vital initiatives involving research, scholarship, professional development and leadership program.
