A Message From RJ Holmes-Leopold

RJ Holmes-Leopold currently serves as the Director of the Career Center at Carleton College. RJ previously served Cornell College for 14 years, through leadership in residence life, career development, and alumni engagement. Throughout his career RJ has formed strong partnerships to foster the greatest opportunities for outstanding student engagement and to empower students to see and take advantage of possibilities they may not have previously imagined for themselves. In his work with ACPA, RJ has served on the Commission for Administrative Leadership directorate, Asian Pacific American Network, and on multiple ACPA convention planning teams. Beyond ACPA, RJ has been actively involved with organizations which seek to promote higher education’s overarching goals of fostering engagement and success within and beyond our campuses. Throughout his career RJ has been a champion for promoting the racial and social justice which are at the heart of ACPA’s strategic imperative on racial justice and decolonization. An alum of the Social Justice Training Institute, RJ worked with us on the development of an on-going Student Affairs professional development initiative at Cornell College modeled on the SJTI framework and helped us host the 2011 Student SJTI.

In Support of ACPA Foundation

Founded in 1994 during the presidency of Charles Schroeder, the purpose of the ACPA Educational Leadership Foundation (501c3 non-profit organization) is “to enhance the student affairs profession and to generate and disseminate knowledge of college students at all levels within higher education” (Article Three of the Articles of Incorporation). The organization is now known as the ACPA Foundation to more concisely communicate its role as the fundraising arm of ACPA College Student Educators International.

The Mission - The ACPA Foundation exists to support the priorities and activities of ACPA by raising funds and developing resources that help the Association fulfill its mission.

The Vision - The ACPA Foundation will develop sufficient assets to effectively and sustainably fund ACPA’s efforts to provide excellent professional development opportunities to members, advance knowledge in the field, and support the transformative effect of education in the lives of college students.

In order to fulfill its purpose and mission, the Foundation invites members and non-members alike to provide philanthropic support for ACPA's vital initiatives involving research, scholarship, professional development and leadership program.
