A Message From Tony Leslie

Tony Leslie is Bardstown, Kentucky where he was raised and continues to live on the family farm today. Tony earned his Bachelor’s in 1983 and Master’s in 1989 both from Western Kentucky University. Then, Tony worked for WKU as the Recreational Manager of the Downing University Center from 1986 to 1992. After leaving WKU in January 1992, Tony became the Site Coordinator/Counselor at the General Motors Corvette Plant in Bowling Green for the Kentucky Workforce Development Cabinet. This opportunity was grant funded training program partnership with the Commonwealth of Kentucky, GM and the UAW. Tony also served as a Counselor with Volunteer State Community College in Gallatin, Tennessee with a working range from Springfield to Livingston for four years. In August 1996 Tony was offered a job as a Service Representative with the Social Security Administration in Elizabethtown, Kentucky which allowed him to move back to Central Kentucky. The call of education was too strong and Tony accepted a Counselor’s position with Jefferson Community and Technical College in May 1999. Tony has happily been a Jefferson for almost 23 years serving as Interim Coordinator of Advising 2000-2001 and as a Counselor, Master Advisor and Assistant Professor.

In Support of ACPA Foundation

Founded in 1994 during the presidency of Charles Schroeder, the purpose of the ACPA Educational Leadership Foundation (501c3 non-profit organization) is “to enhance the student affairs profession and to generate and disseminate knowledge of college students at all levels within higher education” (Article Three of the Articles of Incorporation). The organization is now known as the ACPA Foundation to more concisely communicate its role as the fundraising arm of ACPA College Student Educators International.

The Mission - The ACPA Foundation exists to support the priorities and activities of ACPA by raising funds and developing resources that help the Association fulfill its mission. 

The Vision - The ACPA Foundation will develop sufficient assets to effectively and sustainably fund ACPA’s efforts to provide excellent professional development opportunities to members, advance knowledge in the field, and support the transformative effect of education in the lives of college students.

In order to fulfill its purpose and mission, the Foundation invites members and non-members alike to provide philanthropic support for ACPA's vital initiatives involving research, scholarship, professional development and leadership program.
