A Message From Stephanie J. Fujii

Stephanie J. Fujii, Ph.D., has spent over 35 years learning alongside students and colleagues in higher education, with deep roots in student affairs, college counseling, instruction, and community college leadership. As President of Arapahoe Community College, she draws on her experiences as tenured counseling faculty, division chair, dean and vice-president—roles that taught her the power of listening, collaboration, and meeting students and staff where they are. Stephanie's own journey as a struggling college student profoundly shaped her path. Student Affairs professionals who believed in her during difficult times inspired her to pursue graduate work in counseling and college student development. Their investment became the foundation of her work: a commitment to helping others recognize their inherent gifts and potential. She has been fortunate to contribute to conversations on inclusion, resilience, and student persistence through publications and interviews with Inside Higher Ed and The Chronicle of Higher Education. Stephanie's service to the profession includes serving on the boards of Campus Compact and ASU+GSV Higher Education Insights, and as Chair-Elect of the American Association of Community Colleges, continuing to learn from colleagues dedicated to values-centered, inclusive leadership

In Support of ACPA Foundation

Founded in 1994 during the presidency of Charles Schroeder, the purpose of the ACPA Educational Leadership Foundation (501c3 non-profit organization) is “to enhance the student affairs profession and to generate and disseminate knowledge of college students at all levels within higher education” (Article Three of the Articles of Incorporation). The organization is now known as the ACPA Foundation to more concisely communicate its role as the fundraising arm of ACPA College Student Educators International.

The Mission - The ACPA Foundation exists to support the priorities and activities of ACPA by raising funds and developing resources that help the Association fulfill its mission.

The Vision - The ACPA Foundation will develop sufficient assets to effectively and sustainably fund ACPA’s efforts to provide excellent professional development opportunities to members, advance knowledge in the field, and support the transformative effect of education in the lives of college students.

In order to fulfill its purpose and mission, the Foundation invites members and non-members alike to provide philanthropic support for ACPA's vital initiatives involving research, scholarship, professional development and leadership program.
