  • On behalf of Jonathan A. McElderry, Ph.D., the 86th President of ACPA - College Student Educators International, ACPA is thrilled to launch this campaign to raise at least $6,000 for textbook assistance scholarships for Cristo Rey Jesuit High School (CRJ) graduates as they begin their college journeys. CRJ, located in Baltimore, Maryland, serves 361 students, 98% of whom come from underrepresented racial backgrounds. CRJ students participate in rigorous coursework designed to prepare them for college success, and 100% of graduates are accepted into college, having completed a minimum of 40 community service hours by graduation.

As we prepare for our Annual Convention of college student educators in March 2026 (Baltimore, Maryland), our aim is to ensure that financial barriers do not stand in the way of these bright and determined students’ success in higher education and to give back to the communities that we will ascend upon to gather annually.

By contributing to this campaign, you are investing in the future of the next generation. Your donation will go directly toward purchasing textbooks for CRJ graduates during their first-year at their selected institution. By contributing to this fund through the ACPA Foundation, you will receive documentation for tax reporting purposes.

ACPA is excited to work with the Director of College Counseling at CRJ to select recipients for this award. The scholarship recipients will be honored at our ACPA26 Annual Convention on March 31, 2026, in Baltimore, Maryland. Thank you for joining us on this incredible journey. Your generosity will make a profound difference, helping these students take the next big step in their academic and personal growth and to further the mission of our association of boldly transforming higher education! Donors will be recognized at the annual convention.
